Panxi S-Bend is a stretch of lakeside road in Panxi Village, Yinqiao Town, on the western shore of Erhai Lake in Dali. The pathway curves gently into a graceful S along the water — with the blue lake on one side, Bai-style villages on the other, and the Cangshan peaks rising in the distance. Car-free and free to enter, it is best explored on foot or by bike. Catch the sunrise in the morning, wait for the sunset glow in the evening, and let the lakeside breeze carry you through Dali's most healing little corner — often called the "mini Kamakura" of Yunnan.
